Three Stars of the Night

If you’re going to spend up, these are our favorite targets on the night:

• Sidney Crosby – C - PIT – $7900 DK/$9200 – Crosby is on fire right now. He’s the most expensive skater on the slate, so don’t force him in your lineup. Instead, Malkin, Kessel, and Hornqvist are good pivots if you want PIT exposure tonight.

• Vladimir Tarasenko – STL – $7300 DK/$8000 FD - Tarasenko hasn’t been scoring much lately, so there’s a degree of risk to this play, but he has the benefit of playing at home. Wouldn’t recommend Senko in cash, but worth a flier in GPP.

• John Tavares – C -NYI- $7300 DK/$8300 FD – Didn’t like Tavares initially today, but Pittsburgh has been giving up 3.28 goals/game at home over the last 10. You have to believe that if the Islanders put some goals in the net that Tavares will be a part of it. Stacking with Bailey and Lee makes for a decent GPP play as well.

Line Stacks

J-E-T-S! Jets! Jets! Jets! Winnipeg will be popular tonight. Same goes with Pittsburgh, Tampa, and Boston. You won’t hear any arguments with us if you want to play any of the top 6 from those teams, but here’s a few lines that we like that will probably go lower owned with similar upside:

Here’s a list of players at the top, middle, and value salary tiers that you should consider in your lineup based on their line, power play time, shots on goal, or consistency over the past month. The obvious (Crosby, Kucherov, Seguin) are certainly in play tonight, but if you’d like any specifics of why a certain player made (or didn’t make) the list, give us a holler in NHL chat.
