LineStar® Hat Trick 12/28 | Short & Sweet
Written by LineStar Fantasy Life Coach @ZeroInDenver
Welcome back to the NHL Hat Trick.
After a huge 13-game slate last night, we get a dinky 3-game slate today. I'll never understand why NHL makes the schedule like it does. Two nights of 8-game slates would have been more ideal, for DFS anyway. But it is what it is.
Instead of the usual format, I’m going to give you my favorite stacks from each game, a few one-offs, and my thoughts on goalies.
Give it a read and let me know what you think in the chat.
Montreal vs Florida
Favorite Stacks:
Here are my favorite stacks from each site in this game:
MON: Drouin-Domi-Byron (DK: $15.6K, FD: $16.7K)
FLA: Huberdeau-Barkov-Dadonov (DK: $19.7K, FD: $20.8K)
One-Offs:
Outside of the favorite stacks, here are my favorite one-off plays from each team that I think could have a big game:
MON: Jeff Petry, Brendan Gallagher
FLA: Mike Hoffman, Aaron Ekblad
Goaltenders:
I like Luongo tonight. He's priced right and he's been decent over the last month with a 2.88 GAA and a .907 save percentage. Carey Price is out for Montreal, which makes me like Florida a bit more tonight as well.
Toronto vs Columbus
Favorite Stacks:
Here are my favorite stacks from each site in this game:
TOR: Marleau-Matthews-Kapanen (DK: $17.5K, FD: $18.8K)
CLS: Panarin-Dubois-Atkinson (DK: $19.3K, FD: $20.8K)
One-Offs:
Outside of the favorite stacks, here are my favorite one-off plays from each team that I think could have a big game:
TOR: John Tavares, Morgan Rielly
CLS: Seth Jones, Zach Werenski
Goaltenders:
Don't really want the goaltender from either game, but on a two game slate if you're playing multi entries, it makes sense to have each in a couple of lineups. Between the two, I prefer Andersen tonight. Columbus has a pretty scary offense, but they've only been averaging 2.49 goals a game over their last 10 games.
Ottawa vs New York Islanders
It looks like Ehlers got moved up to the top line with Wheeler and Schiefele at morning skate. Laine was moved to the second line with Little and Connor.
Favorite Stacks:
Here are my favorite stacks from each site in this game:
OTT: Tkachuk-White-Stone (DK: $14.8K, FD: $15.9K)
NYI: Beauvillier-Barzal-Bailey (DK: $14.1K, FD: $16.4K)
One-Offs:
Outside of the favorite stacks, here are my favorite one-off plays from each team that I think could have a big game:
OTT: Matt Duchene, Thomas Chabot
NYI: Brock Nelson, Johnny Boychuk
Goaltenders:
I like Lehner the most tonight probably. He's been solid over the last month with a 1.40 GAA and a .948 save percentage. Mike McKenna is expected to start for Ottawa with Anderson out with an injury. I don't mind him either as the Islanders aren't scoring a lot of goals (2.36 a game over their last 10).
