LineStar® Hat Trick 11-7 | Wednesday Rivalry Night
Written by LineStar Fantasy Life Coach @ZeroInDenver

Welcome back to the NHL Hat Trick.
Only three games tonight but it's "Wednesday Rivalry Night" on NBCSN, so there are two games being broadcast tonight: Pens at Caps and Preds at Avs.
Like in past, I'm going to keep it short and sweet with a quick look at the games, the top stacks and one-offs from each team and thoughts on starting goalies.
Give it a read and let me know what you think in the chat.
Pittsburgh @ Washington
This game has the highest over/under and for good reason. Both teams are scoring over 3 goals a game over their past 10 games and Washington is allowing 3.8 goals while Pittsburgh is allowing 2.94 goals over the last 10. On a short slate, it makes it hard to fade either team.
Favorite Stacks:
Here are my favorite stacks from each site in this game:
WAS: Ovechkin-Kuznetsov-Jaskin (DK: $18K, FD: $19.6K)
PIT: Hagelin-Malkin-Hornqvist (DK: $15.2K, FD: $18K)
One-Offs:
Outside of the favorite stacks, here are my favorite one-off plays from each team that I think could have a big game:
PIT: Phil Kessel, Kris Letang
TB: John Carlson, T.J. Oshie
Goaltenders:
Outside of a hedge, I don't want goalies from either team.
Nashville @ Colorado
Both teams have been scoring goals. Nashville has been scoring 3.68 over the past 10 games while Colorado has been scoring 3.44. However, Nashville is the best on the slate in terms of goals allowed, with only 2.19 over the past 10 games. Despite this, I think Colorado makes for a good stack in GPPs. The top line has been somewhat matchup proof this season and if you want to get wild, you can dip to that second line which will allow you to fit any other top line on the slate.
Favorite Stacks:
Here are my favorite stacks from each site in this game:
NSH: Forsberg-Johansen-Fiala (DK: $15.2K, FD: $18.5K)
COL: Landeskog-Mackinnon-Rantanen (DK: $20.8K, FD: $23.4K)
One-Offs:
Outside of the favorite stacks, here are my favorite one-off plays from each team that I think could have a big game:
NSH: Roman Josi, Craig Smith
COL: Tyson Barrie, Vladislav Kamenev,
Goaltenders:
My homerism is going to force me to play Varlamov. He's facing a lot of shots and has a .934 save percentage with a 2.29 goals against average. Likewise, I have interest in Rinne as well. Rinne feels like a trap though. He pitched a shutout his last time out, and will drop a dud every once in a while. As one of the most expensive on the slate, I feel like I'll limit my exposure to him on this short slate.
Calgary @ Anaheim
Anaheim has been straight up awful lately. They're giving up a lot of shots and they're especially giving up a lot of high danger shot attempts. It could be a long night for Ryan Miller. Likewise, I think there will be decent ownership to Calgary. The Gaudreau line feels a little obvious, but Neal has moved up to the second line and I think I'll get a little weird and put some exposure on that line to differentiate in large GPPs.
Favorite Stacks:
Here are my favorite stacks from each site in this game:
CGY: Gaudreau-Monahan-Lindholm (DK: $19.2K, FD: $22.6K)
ANH: Silfverberg-Getzlaf-Eaves (DK: $14.7K, FD: $13.7K)
One-Offs:
Outside of the favorite stacks, here are my favorite one-off plays from each team that I think could have a big game:
CGY: Mark Giordano, Matthew Tkachuk
ANH: Cam Fowler, Rickard Rakell
Goaltenders:
I have some interest in Ryan Miller, just to get weird on a small slate and because he should face a heavy number of shots as Calgary is second on the slate in terms of shots on net and first in shot attempts. Likewise, I don't have a lot of interest in Smith because I don't expect him to see a heavy shot volume, but if you're looking for win equity, he's not a bad choice.
