Welcome back to the NHL Hat Trick.

Forsberg Tuesday is back for the first time in 2019. Scroll down a little and you'll see he's my fourth-ranked skater on the slate tonight. Like I mentioned before, this is my own secret sauce, but really using this section just to point out who I think are some of the top plays on the night. Some might be pretty obvious based on recent performance or matchup so I'd rather get into some other players I like on the slate that might go overlooked.

Here's a look at team numbers over the last 10 games from a high level:

If you're new, let's do a quick rundown of what each of the columns represents (remember these are numbers over the past 10 games):

W = wins, L = losses (excluding OT losses), CF% = Corsi (shot attempts) For %, CF60 = Corsi for per 60 minutes, CA60 = Corsi allowed per 60 minutes, HDCF60 = High danger Corsi for per 60 minutes, HDCA60 = High danger Corsi allowed per 60 minutes, SF60 = shots for on net per 60 minutes, SA60 = shots on net allowed per 60 minutes, SV% = save percentage, SOT = shots on target (percentage of shots taken that hit the goal or go in), Sh% = shooting percentage (% of shots that become goals), SCF60 = scoring chances for per 60 minutes, SCA60 = scoring chances allowed per 60 minutes, PDO = Called SPSV% by the NHL, is the sum of a team's shooting percentage and its save percentage, GF60 = goals for per 60 minutes, GA60 = goals allowed per 60 minutes, Avg = Projected goals (my projections) for the team, xTotal = projected over/under

Of course, if you have any additional thoughts or questions, be sure to hit me up in chat.

✅ Andrei Vasilevskiy vs ✅ Anton Khudobin

🅿️ Matt Murray vs ✅ Martin Jones

Now, lets look at my favorites on the slate:

Goaltending

This is your starting point when playing cash games. You want a goalie that has a solid chance to get a win, but will also face a decent number of shots. North of 30 shots on net is ideal. Here are my three favorites that check those boxes tonight:

Laurent Brossoit (vs VGK) (DK: $7.8K, FD: $8.4K)

Brossoit gets a tough matchup tonight against Vegas, but I like his price and he's been really good this season (2.09 GAA, .939 Save%) and even better over the last month (1.00 GAA, .973 Save%).

Robin Lehner, NYI (vs STL) (DK: $8.1K, FD: $8.2K)

Lehner is expected to start tonight and faces a Blues team that played last night. Lehner has great numbers over the past month (1.44 GAA, .948 Save%).

Matt Murray, PIT (@ SJ ) (DK: $7.7K, FD: $8.9K)

Murray is expected to start in San Jose tonight. Outside his last game in Anaheim, he's been really good over the past month (1.38 GAA, .957 Save%). It's a tough road matchup against a really good offense, but I think there's a lot of upside if he can keep the puck out of the net.

#BiscuitInTheBasketWatchList 🚨

For those of you who aren’t familiar with hockey, “biscuit in the basket” is a term for scoring a goal. Here I’m going to give a center, wing, and defensemen for the top and value pricing tiers that I think has a good chance to score a goal. Remember - I gave some tips last week on numbers that I look for, and these players check most (if not all my boxes):

Steven Stamkos: TB - C (DK: $7.5K, FD: $8.5K)

Tampa is popular most nights, but I think pivoting off of the Kucherov line is a solid move in tournaments tonight. Stamkos is averaging 4.8 shot attempts and 3 shots a night on over 19 minutes of ice time over his last 5 games.

Cam Atkinson: CLS - W (DK: $7.5K, FD: $7.2K)

Atkinson has a solid 60 CF% with 5.6 shot attempts (2 high danger) and 3.4 shots on net on over 20 minutes a night over his last 5 games and catches New Jersey on the tail end of a back-to-back.

Kris Letang: PIT - D (DK: $6.8K, FD: $6.9K)

If you're spending up at D, Letang is my favorite that's not named Burns or Karlsson. He's got a solid floor as he's averaging 3.2 shots a game and 3 blocks in over 27 minutes a night.

Value Twigs 💲

Similar to the biscuit-in-the-basket watch list, in this section I’ll provide a center, wing, and defensemen who are priced in the value tier. If I can find someone under priced on both sites, I’ll highlight them. But in some cases, it could be site specific.

Ryan Getzlaf: TOR - C (DK: $5.5K, FD: $6.7K)

Not a lot of value at center tonight, but I like Getzlaf as he's facing a Detroit team that's giving up 3.73 goals a game over their last 10 games and Getzlaf is averaging 5.8 shot attempts with 3 shots on net over his last 10 games.

Ondrej Palat: TB- W (DK: $4.5K, FD: $5K)

Palat is averaging 5 shot attempts (1.6 high danger) and 3.6 shots on net a game and gets time on the top powerplay unit for Tampa.

Mattias Ekholm: NSH - D (DK: $5.2K, FD: $5.1K)

Priced higher than I think he's worth on this slate, but he's been playing really well recently. He has a solid floor (2 shots on net, 2.2 blocks, 24 minutes a game) over his last 5 games and has a decent ceiling as well.

Bottom of the Barrel

I did this last season, and I’ll do it again this season. These are the players in the bottom of the salary barrel but are in a good spot tonight.

Lucas Wallmark: CAR - C (DK: $3K, FD: $3.2K)

Nick Bjugstad: FLA - W (DK: $3.6K, FD: $3.5K)

Keith Yandle: FLA - D (DK: $2.5K, FD: $5.6K) **DraftKings Only**

Tony DeAngelo: NYR - D (DK: $3.9K, FD: $3.5K)

Line Stacks

Line stacking is a common strategy in GPP. You’ll see a lot of winning lineups where players are stacked from the same forward lines or power play lines.

I'm going to list two of the the highest-projected owned stacks, two of my favorite stacks, and two "biscuit" (high risk, high reward) stacks:

High-Ownership (Based on LineStar Ownership Projections):

TB: Johnson-Point-Kucherov (DK: $21.8K, FD: $23.2K)

SJ: Kane-Hertl-Donskoi (DK: $15.9K, FD: $17.5K)

Favorite stacks:

NSH: Forsberg-Johansen-Arvidsson (DK: $18.3K FD: $20.2K)

CLS: Panarin-Dubois-Atkinson (DK: $20.7K FD: $21K)

Biscuit stacks (high risk, high upside):

STL: Schwartz-Schenn-Tarasenko (DK: $14.9K FD: $18K)

DET: Bertuzzi-Larkin-Nyquist (DK: $15.7K FD: $17.4K)

Keep in mind, these are my favorites. You should all do your own research and you might (and probably should) disagree with me in some spots. Don't be afraid to go your own way.
