Welcome back to the NHL Hat Trick.

We've got a pretty solid 8-game slate tonight. Lots of top stacks in play with Boston, Tampa, and Winnipeg, and you can probably make solid arguments for Columbus and Vegas. It's one of the slates that if you're playing with one or two lineups, I would try to get a few pieces from each of those top spots. If you're doing multiple lineups, you can get wild with some top stacks and high upside, high risk stacks. That's what I'll be doing and here's a look at the slate from a high-level.

Heads up - at the time of this writing, not all goalies have been confirmed. Keep an eye on chat for updates throughout the day.

🅿️Robin Lehner vs ✅ Tuukka Rask

✅Devan Dubnyk vs 🅿️ Sergei Bobrovsky

✅ Carter Hutton vs ✅ Louis Domingue

🅿️ Henrik Lundqvist vs ✅ Craig Anderson

✅ Adin Hill vs 🅿️ Pekka Rinne

✅ Corey Crawford vs ✅ Connor Hellebuyck

🅿️ Cal Petersen ✅ Mikko Koskinen

🅿️ Marc-Andre Fleury 🅿️ Jacob Markstrom

Let's look at my favorites on the slate:

Goaltending

Playing cash games? Fill in your goalie spot first. Playing tournaments? Fill your skater positions and pick the goaltender with the biggest upside for the least amount of salary. Here are my three favorite goaltenders on the night:

Tuukka Rask, BUF (vs NYI) (DK: $8K, FD: $8.4K)

I never seem to get Rask right, so you might want to consider stacking against him. That said, his numbers are decent over the past month and Boston is favored.

Marc-Andre Fleury, VGK (@VAN) (DK: $8.1K, FD: $8.6K)

Vegas is playing well and Vancouver isn't, so this is an easy decision for me. Fleury has been solid as well with a 2.25 goals against average and .921 save percentage over the past month.

Craig Anderson, OTT (vs ANH) (DK: $7.5K, FD: $7.8K)

Yeah, why not. Sure, he lets goals in, but he also faces a lot of shots as Ottawa has been allowing 37 shots on net on average over their last 10 games. So while there's definite risk, there's also upside for Anderson tonight.

#BiscuitInTheBasketWatchList 🚨

For those of you who aren’t familiar with hockey, “biscuit in the basket” is a term for scoring a goal. Here I’m going to give a center, wing, and defensemen for the top and value pricing tiers that I think has a good chance to score a goal. Remember - I gave some tips last week on numbers that I look for, and these players check most (if not all my boxes):

Brayden Point: TB - C (DK: $7.2K, FD: $7.7K)

Point had some great chances and he should see some good chances again tonight as he's averaging 4.4 scoring chances per game with 5 shot attempts (3 high danger) and over 3 shots on net a game over his last 5 games.

Kyle Connor: WPG - LW (DK: $6.4K, FD: $5.8K)

Favorite winger on the night. In his last 5 games, he has 62 CF% with 5.4 shot attempts (2.4 high danger) and 3.6 shots on net.

Cam Atkinson: CLS- RW (DK: $7.2K, FD: $7.2K)

Dubnyk and Bobrovsky haven't been as solid this season as they have in the past, so I'm not as hesitant to play skaters against them. Atkinson has 6.4 shot attempts and 4.4 shots on net over his last 5 games.

Matt Dumba: MIN - D (DK: $5.7K, FD: $5.9K)

Once again, Dumba is my favorite top-tier defensemen. In the last 5 games he has a 61 CF%, 7.6 shot attempts and 4.4 shots on net.

Value Twigs 💲

Similar to the biscuit-in-the-basket watch list, in this section I’ll provide a center, wing, and defensemen who are priced in the value tier. If I can find someone under priced on both sites, I’ll highlight them. But in some cases, it could be site specific.

Mathew Barzal: NYI - C (DK: $5.4K, FD: $5.8K)

A tough matchup, but but Barzal is seeing 4 scoring chances a game with 5 shot attempts (2 high danger) with 3.2 shots on net over the last 5 games.

Kevin Fiala: NSH- LW (DK: $5K, FD: $4.2K)

Hoping he stays on the top line. In his last 5 games, he has a 68 CF% with 6.8 shot attempts (1.8 high danger) and 3.6 shots on net.

Brock Boeser: VAN- RW (DK: $5.2K, FD: $6.1K)

Boeser was a little underwhelming in his return with only 3 shots, but he's still slotted on the second line with Pettersson.

Oscar Klefbom: EDM - D (DK: $5.5K, FD: $4.9K)

Klefbom had the overtime winner the other night and I like him again tonight as he's getting over 25 minutes a game with 8 shot attempts and 5 shots on net in his last 5 games.

Bottom of the Barrel

I did this last season, and I’ll do it again this season. These are the players in the bottom of the salary barrel but are in a good spot tonight.

Nick Bonino: NSH - C (DK: $3.5K, FD: $3.8K)

Tage Thompson: BUF- LW (DK: $2.9K, FD: $3.5K)

Sam Gagner: VAN - RW (DK: $3.7K, FD: $3K)

Johnny Boychuk: NYI - D (DK: $3.6K, FD: $3.8K)

Line Stacks

Line stacking is a common strategy in GPP. You’ll see a lot of winning lineups where players are stacked from the same forward lines or power play lines.

Here are my three favorite stacks on the night:

WPG: Ehlers-Scheifele-Wheeler (DK: $19.7K, FD: $20.8K)

Favorite stack on the night. Chicago's defense hasn't been great. They're averaging 57.4 CA and 28.7 scoring chances allowed over their last 10 games while allowing an average of 3.25 goals during that time.

BOS: Marchand-Cave-Pastrnak: (DK: $16.9K, FD: $16.3K)

Cave on the top line makes this stack pretty affordable and they have one of the best matchups on the night as the Islanders are allowing 19.2 FPPG on DraftKings and 68.3 FPPG on FanDuel. However, it doesn't look like Colby Cave is available on FanDuel, so I would probably try to fit in Krug for the powerplay correlation.

VGK: Pacioretty-Eakin-Tuch (DK: $17K, FD: $16.4K)

I'm calling this my value stack of the night since I definitely want some Vegas exposure as they've been scoring buckets of goals lately with this line doing all of the heavy lifting.

Risk-It-For-The-Biscuit Stack 🍪

OTT:  Tkachuk-White-Stone (DK: $18.2K, FD: $15.6K)

Ottawa is scoring 3.7 goals a game, and I got burned by fading them against Philly last time out. Granted, they have a tougher matchup tonight, but I don't think I can NOT play Ottawa at this point.
