LineStar® Hat Trick 11-14 | Wednesday Rivalry Night: BOS1 Edition

Written by LineStar Fantasy Life Coach @ZeroInDenver

Welcome back to the NHL Hat Trick.

Small slate, so a short newsletter today. Only four games tonight but it's "Wednesday Rivalry Night" on NBCSN, so there are two games being broadcast tonight: Blues at Hawks and Ducks at Knights.

Here's a look at the slate from a high level:

Like in past, I'm going to keep it short and sweet with a quick look at the games, the top stacks and one-offs from each team and thoughts on starting goalies.

Give it a read and let me know what you think in the chat.

St Louis @ Chicago

I'm still a little shell-shocked from having no exposure to New Jersey last night that no matter how awful the Blackhawks have been over the past 10 games, I'm probably going to donate money on their behalf tonight. On a larger slate I might ignore them, but not tonight.

Favorite Stacks:

Here are my favorite stacks from each site in this game:

STL:  Schwartz-O'Reilly-Tarasenko (DK: $18.3K, FD: $19.8K)

CHI:  DeBrincat-Kampf-Kahun (DK: $12K, FD: $12.9K)

One-Offs:

Outside of the favorite stacks, here are my favorite one-off plays from each team that I think could have a big game:

STL: Vince Dunn, Alex Pietrangelo

CHI:  Patrick Kane, Henri Jokiharju

Goaltenders:

I don't mind Crawford, but I wouldn't play Allen with your money.

Washington @ Winnipeg

Raise your hand if you faded Washington last night. I did. I usually have zero interest in stacking against Dubnyk at home. So kudos to you if you did.

Tonight is similar in the way that I don't like to stack against Winnipeg when Winnipeg is home, but I feel like I'm going to hedge with a few Washington stacks tonight. As always, I love stacking Winnipeg and prefer their top line.

Favorite Stacks:

Here are my favorite stacks from each site in this game:

WAS:  Vrana-Backstrom-Oshie (DK: $15.3K, FD: $17.2K)

WPG:  Ehlers-Scheifele-Wheeler (DK: $19.1K, FD: $20.9K)

One-Offs:

Outside of the favorite stacks, here are my favorite one-off plays from each team that I think could have a big game:

WAS:  John Carlson, Alex Ovechkin

WPG:  Patrik Laine, Kyle Connor

Goaltenders:

I don't mind either goaltender. Both should see solid volume. I've said it before, but thoughts and prayers if you're playing cash tonight.

Boston @ Colorado

I'm not sure you can fade BOS1. Even if you're a one lineup kind of dude, I think you need to at least do a BOS1 stack in a second lineup.

Favorite Stacks:

Here are my favorite stacks from each site in this game:

BOS:  Marchand-Bergeron-Pastrnak (DK: $21.6K, FD: $24.8K)

COL:  Landeskog-Mackinnon-Rantanen (DK: $20.6K, FD: $22.8K)

One-Offs:

Outside of the favorite stacks, here are my favorite one-off plays from each team that I think could have a big game:

CGY:  Torey Krug, Jake DeBrusk

ANH:  Alexander Kerfoot, Tyson Barrie

Goaltenders:

On a larger slate, I wouldn't touch either goaltender, but I'll probably have a little exposure to both, though I have more interest in Halak.

Anaheim @ Vegas

I expect this to be the lowest-scoring game on the night (this won't age well, I'm sure) so I have little interest in either offense and will probably lean heavily on both goaltenders .

Favorite Stacks:

Here are my favorite stacks from each site in this game:

ANH:  Cogliano-Kesler-Silfverberg (DK: $12.1K, FD: $13.5K)

VGK:  Marchessault-Karlsson-Smith (DK: $16.2K, FD: $19K)

One-Offs:

Outside of the favorite stacks, here are my favorite one-off plays from each team that I think could have a big game:

ANH: Cam Fowler, Ryan Getzlaf

VGK:  Max Pacioretty, Colin Miller

Goaltenders:

At this point, neither goaltender is confirmed, but like I said, I'm probably going to have the most exposure to Gibson, followed my Fleury tonight. Both teams just aren't scoring goals, with Anaheim averaging 1.86 goals over the past 10 and Vegas averaging 2.57 over the past 10.
