LineStar® Hat Trick 10/26 | NHL Can't Get Fridays Right

Written by LineStar Fantasy Life Coach @ZeroInDenver

Welcome back to the NHL Hat Trick.

A buddy of mine pointed out that the NHL has gone to a Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday league. Sure, there are games on the other days, but why we get short slates on a Friday, I'll never understand. Today is a weird one with an early game in Vegas tonight (that isn't included on the FanDuel main slate).

Instead of the usual format, I’m going to give you my favorite stacks from each game, a few one-offs, and my thoughts on goalies.

Give it a read and let me know what you think in the chat.

Tampa vs Vegas

Remember: This game starts at 6PM Eastern and is not on the FanDuel main slate.

Favorite Stacks:

Here are my favorite stacks from each site in this game:

VGK: Marchessault-Karlsson-Smith (DK: $18.6K)

TB: Palat-Johnson-Kucherov (DK: $16.2K)

One-Offs:

Outside of the favorite stacks, here are my favorite one-off plays from each team that I think could have a big game:

VGK: Jonathan Marchessault, Alex Tuch

TB: Tyler Johnson, Steven Stamkos

Goaltenders:

This game has the lowest OU and I agree that it should be the lowest scoring game on the slate. I prefer Vasilevskiy (and I've got the most exposure to him in early lineup builds), but don't mind Fleury in GPPs, especially if rolling with a VGK stack.

San Jose vs Carolina

Favorite Stacks:

Here are my favorite stacks from each site in this game:

SJ: Kane-Pavelski-Labanc (DK: $17K, FD: $18.7K)

CAR: Ferland-Aho-Teravainen (DK: $18.8K, FD: $17.6K)

One-Offs:

Outside of the favorite stacks, here are my favorite one-off plays from each team that I think could have a big game:

PHI: Brent Burns, Evander Kane

CAR: Micheal Ferland, Dougie Hamilton

Goaltenders:

Mrazek is starting for Carolina and Dell was the first off the ice at morning skate, so expect to see him in net. I don't love either today and only have each in a couple of hedge lineups.

Winnipeg vs Detroit

It looks like Ehlers got moved up to the top line with Wheeler and Schiefele at morning skate. Laine was moved to the second line with Little and Connor.

Favorite Stacks:

Here are my favorite stacks from each site in this game:

WPG: Connor-Little-Laine (DK: $17.8K, FD: $17.3K)

DET: Athanasiou-Nielsen-Vanek (DK: $11.9K, FD: $13.7K)

One-Offs:

Outside of the favorite stacks, here are my favorite one-off plays from each team that I think could have a big game:

WPG: Patrik Laine, Mark Scheifele, Josh Morrissey

DET: Andreas Athanasiou, Dennis Cholowski

Goaltenders:

Broissoit is starting for Winnipeg, not Hellebuyck - so keep that in mind when building lineups. I don't mind Howard from a GPP perspective, but Broissoit is too expensive for me and I don't expect him to see much shot volume, as Detroit has the lowest SOG on the slate at 27.4 shots a game.

Ottawa vs Colorado

If you like narratives, this will be Duchene's first game back in Colorado since getting traded to Ottawa last year.

Favorite Stacks:

Here are my favorite stacks from each site in this game:

OTT: Dzingel-Tierney-Stone (DK: $15.1K, FD: $15.4K)

COL: Landeskog-Mackinnon-Rantanen (DK: $21.8K, FD: $22.8K)

One-Offs:

Outside of the favorite stacks, here are my favorite one-off plays from each team that I think could have a big game:

OTT: Thomas Chabot, Matt Duchene

COL: Nathan MacKinnon, Samuel Girard

Goaltenders:

Craig Anderson is a decent punt, especially since everyone will be stacking the top line for Colorado tonight. So if they're wrong and Colorado only puts a couple pucks across the line, it could be a great advantage. On the other side, I think Grubauer will be popular but I don't have a lot of interest in him at his price.
