LineStar® Hat Trick 10/10 | Trying Something New
Written by LineStar Fantasy Wizard @ZeroInDenver
Welcome back to the NHL Hat Trick.
I'm trying something new today. It's a 3-game slate, so instead of the usual format, I'm going to give you my favorite stacks from each game, a few one-offs, and my thoughts on goalies.
On these short slates, I like to stack a little differently. DraftKings allows you to stack up to 6 skaters from a team, so I'll often stack a powerplay unit or two lines from a single team. Wild and risky, but has been known to pay off.
Give it a read and let me know what you think in the chat.
Flyers vs Senators
Favorite Stacks:
Here are my favorite stacks from each site in this game:
PHI: Claude Giroux-Sean Couturier-Jakub Voracek
OTT: Ryan Dzingel-Zack Smith-Mark Stone
One-Offs:
Outside of the favorite stacks, here are my favorite one-off plays from each team that I think could have a big game:
PHI: Wayne Simmonds, Shayne Gostisbehere
OTT: Thomas Chabot
Goaltenders:
This game has the highest OU of the slate and both teams have played sloppy. Philly has a Corsi Allowed of 62.7 so far this year and Ottawa is worse at 69.8. I don't think I want any part of the goalies tonight, but if I had to pick one, it would be Anderson.
Golden Knights vs Capitals
Favorite Stacks:
Here are my favorite stacks from each site in this game:
VGK: Jonathan Marchessault-William Karlsson-Reilly Smith
WAS: Alex Ovechkin-Evgeny Kuznetsov-Brett Connolly
One-Offs:
Outside of the favorite stacks, here are my favorite one-off plays from each team that I think could have a big game:
VGK: Shea Theodore, Colin Miller
WAS: John Carlson, TJ Oshie
Goaltenders:
I'll have a few shares of Holtby tonight. I usually play him at home. Little interest in Fleury. I think Fleury makes for a decent play in large field GPPs, but it's risky with how Washington has started the season so far (6.43 goals/game)
Coyotes vs Ducks
Favorite Stacks:
Here are my favorite stacks from each site in this game:
ARI: Richard Panik-Derek Stepan-Brendan Perlini
ANH: Rickard Rakell-Adam Henrique-Troy Terry
One-Offs:
Outside of the favorite stacks, here are my favorite one-off plays from each team that I think could have a big game:
ARI: Clayton Keller, Oliver Ekman-Larsson
ANH: Cam Fowler, Jakob Silfverberg
Goaltenders:
The expectation is that this should be a low event and low scoring game tonight. Raanta is cheap, but Anaheim hasn't taken very many shots per game (only 20.1 per game this season) and that doesn't help Raanta from a DFS perspective. On the other hand, Arizona has been taking 35.5 shots a game, but isn't scoring a lot of goals, which makes Gibson my favorite goalie tonight.
