Welcome to the NHL Hat Trick.
ICYMI - The NHL Season Preview & Strategy guide goes over the basics of NHL DFS and what I look for when researching players.
6 games tonight. Also, I'm switching things up a little. For skaters, instead of breaking it up across center, wing, and defense, I'm going to give you my top 15 ranked skaters overall. One of the biggest reasons for this is I think it will be more helpful for those that are looking for solid one-offs to slot into lineups. As always, let me know what you think...
LETSSSSSSSSSSGOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tonight's Slate
Here's numbers on the teams from their past 10 games. Generally, I start my research by looking for teams in good spots. For example, teams that score goals (GF60) that are facing teams that give up goals (GA60). I also look at teams that shoot a lot (CF60) that are facing teams that give up a lot of shots (CA60).

Line Stacks
McDavid, Kahun, Puljujarvi is a weird stack that I probably would have never stumbled upon, but EDM1 ranks highest for me today. McDavid will always gather ownership, but I've found that many will pass on a line like this in favor of a power play stack or McDavid-Nurse pairing.

I'll never fault someone for playing the Toronto top line, but tonight, I think the second line is a better option as it comes in at almost $5000 cheaper, while still getting exposure to the top power play unit for Toronto.

Going right back to Arizona. I think with some of these matchups tonight, they'll have a definite playoff feeling as teams prepare for the post-season. As a result, they could be low scoring. Instead, I'm going to target teams whose post-season dreams ended months ago.

Biscuit Stack
I like the top line for LA less if John Gibson is starting, but they rank highly for me as Anaheim has been allowing over 30 scoring chances a game and 3 goals a game over their last 10 games.

Goaltender Rankings
How to Read This:
I'm giving you a comparison of LineStar projections vs the average fantasy points scored over their last 10 games. I've also given you their save percentage (over 0.910 is ideal), goals allowed (lower is better), saves per game (more is better), GAA (Goals Saved Above Average), and my projected upside for each goalie.
Generally, if I'm stacking a team, I'll correlate a goalie if I can. In GPPs, I may not have the salary to make this work. In this case, I usually spend down on someone that I expect will take a lot of shots and could pick up the W.

As always - double-check that your goalie is starting before the game starts.
My Favorites:
CASH: Marc-Andre Fleury - VGK (DK: $8000, FD: $8500)
Note: There aren't any heavy favorites on the slate today, but I expect this game to play like a playoff game with really low scoring.
GPP: John Gibson - ANH (DK: $7100, FD: $6600)
Forwards and Defensemen Rankings
Here are my overall rankings on the top 15 skaters on the main slate. These are players that I would look to insert into my lineups as one-offs or lineup fillers if I'm stacking or double-stacking lines.

My Favorites
Auston Matthews - TOR - DK: $9200 | FD: $8900
Between McDavid, MacKinnon, and Matthews, I'm going to look at Matthews as the one who scores the most fantasy points out of that bunch tonight. Jake Allen is expected to start for Montreal and he's allowing 2.83 goals a game.
Kirill Kaprizov - MIN - DK: $6900 | FD: $6600
Kaprizov is such a fun player to watch and if I was looking for a player to get into as many of my lineups as possible, I'd look at Kaprizov first
Jakob Chychrun - ARI - DK: $6400 | FD: $5300
I write him up almost every newsletter, but I'm a big fan of getting a top-tier defenseman from one of the latest games on the slate into my lineups. Chychrun gets a ton of ice time and has been a strong candidate for the shot and block bonuses on DraftKings as of late.
Kevin Fiala - MIN - DK: $6500 | FD: $6300
I don't think a lot of people are stacking the third line of Minnesota, but I love Fiala as a one-off, especially as a player who's currently on a 4-game point streak.
Bottom of the Barrel
Here are my cheap calls for a skater to pick up a goal or assist.
Tyler Bozak: STL - C - DK: $3600 | FD: $3800
Reilly Smith: VGK - W - DK: $3300 | FD: $4300
Alex Goligoski: ARI - D - DK: $3600 | FD: $3800
