Welcome to the NHL Hat Trick.
ICYMI - The NHL Season Preview & Strategy guide goes over the basics of NHL DFS and what I look for when researching players.
8 games tonight. Tonight I think Rangers are the obvious stack, so let's look at some other viable options for tonight.
LETSSSSSSSSSSGOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tonight's Slate
Here's numbers on the teams from their past 10 games. Generally, I start my research by looking for teams in good spots. For example, teams that score goals (GF60) that are facing teams that give up goals (GA60). I also look at teams that shoot a lot (CF60) that are facing teams that give up a lot of shots (CA60).

Line Stacks
New Jersey has been allowing almost 5 goals a game over their last 10 so I think Philly is definitely in play tonight. I prefer PHI1, but PHI2 is a slightly cheaper and also viable option.

Tampa Bay is another team I'm looking at tonight. Chicago is allowing 3.2 goals a game and is allowing over 27 scoring chances a game. TBL1 is my preference.

Florida didn't get the job done last night, but I'm hoping I was a day early, and they rank pretty well for me tonight. FLA1 is the favorite.

Biscuit Stack
I don't usually like stacking against Tampa, but they've been allowing 3.2 goals a game and I think CHI1 is worth taking a flyer on tonight.

Goaltender Rankings
How to Read This:
I'm giving you a comparison of LineStar projections vs the average fantasy points scored over their last 10 games. I've also given you their save percentage (over 0.910 is ideal), goals allowed (lower is better), saves per game (more is better), GAA (Goals Saved Above Average), and my projected upside for each goalie.
Generally, if I'm stacking a team, I'll correlate a goalie if I can. In GPPs, I may not have the salary to make this work. In this case, I usually spend down on someone that I expect will take a lot of shots and could pick up the W.

As always - double-check that your goalie is starting before the game starts.
My Favorites:
CASH: Andrei Vasilevskiy - TBL (DK: $8500, FD: $8600)
GPP: Semyon Varlamov - NYI (DK: $7600, FD: $8000)
Forwards and Defensemen Rankings
How to Interpret C/D/W charts: In NHL DFS, I think it's most important to look at peripheral stats instead of goals which is why I put so much emphasis on shots. This includes shot attempts, high danger shot attempts (those shot attempts closest to the net with the highest probability of going into the net), shots on goal, and scoring chances. I've included projections and average fantasy points to see how each compares so you can more easily find value.
Center

My Favorite
Jack Hughes - NJD - DK: $5500 | FD: $4900
Hughes is cheap for a top-line, top power play unit center with a good matchup against a Philly team that is allowing 3.2 goals a game.
Wing

My Favorite:
Jason Zucker - PIT- DK: $2900 | FD: $5000
This could be a low-scoring game, but Zucker is extra cheap on DraftKings and is worth a punt if you need a one-off.
Defensemen

My Favorite
Rasmus Dahlin - BUF - DK: $4200 | FD: $4500
As always, I love cheap PP1 defensemen.
Bottom of the Barrel
Here are my cheap calls for a skater to pick up a goal or assist.
Sam Bennett: FLA - C - DK: $3800 | FD: $3700
Luke Kunin: NSH - W - DK: $3500 | FD: $3900
Travis Sanheim: PHI - D - DK: $3700 | FD: $3600
